Carol Watson Greenhouse and Landscaping is located 12 minutes from Syracuse at 2980 Sentinel Heights Road in LaFayette, NY. During CNY winters we are your oasis in the snow, providing imaginative and traditional holiday decorating and gift ideas; a picturesque setting under the Brugmansia canopy for your meetings, gatherings and celebrations; and an opportunity to stroll through a citrus grove if you can’t get to Florida!
In springtime Carol Watson Greenhouse is a beehive of activity, starting with the Annual Celebration of the Senses in late March or early April. This free admission event at the greenhouse is a benefit for the Everson Museum of Art. We schedule spring garden cleanups; coordinate landscaping and hardscaping projects (call to ask about our popular WE PLAN – YOU PLANT program); plant floriferous and easy-to-care-for containers for customers; and share exciting trends, valuable information and creative experience with you via classes and a weekly Saturday morning TV spot with Laura Hand on WSTM NBC 3. Popular class topics include the fashion show of new annuals and perennials; miniature gardens; hypertufa planters; vertical gardening; and using native plants in CNY gardens and landscapes (check out the the Suny ESF website).
Throughout summer and autumn Carol Watson Greenhouse is fully leafed out, and we are moving at full speed completing your garden, landscape and hardscape projects. We work with community gardens, garden clubs and school/scout groups. Carol Watson Greenhouse hosts a series of farmers’ markets (featuring local organic vegetables, herbs, eggs, meats, cheeses, maple products, balms and salves); cooking demonstrations; and a pre-Thanksgiving bake sale to benefit the Food Bank of Central New York.
We welcome you to Carol Watson Greenhouse every season of the year!

Michelle is a native of Jamesville, New York. "My interests include gardening and baking. I love to read especially about gardening and baking. I love spending time with my granddaughter and niece, working on craft projects. I am pursuing a certification from the Cornell Cooperative Extension in Master Gardening. I find that spending time watering plants at the greenhouse relaxes me. I have been volunteering at Watson Greenhouse for five years!"
